On April 21st, 2018, the first "Terahertz Science and Technology" Yanzhao Science Forum was organized by Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology Agency and the Hebei Provincial Natural Science Fund Committee, hosted by Hebei University, and co-organized by Capital Normal University and Xiong’an CCT Technology Co., Ltd. The Science Forum was held in Xiong'an New District, Hebei. Yang Guozhen, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ma Yujun, Director of Hebei Science and Technology Department, Guo Jian, Secretary of Party Committee of Hebei University, Zhang Cunlin, Professor of Capital Normal University, Zhang Yan, Professor of Capital Normal University, Ding Qing, Senior Vice President of CCT Group, Chen Jian, Professor of Nanjing University and Changjiang Scholar, Zhao Kun, Professor of China University of Petroleum, Sun Dong, Peking University Fellow and Thousand Youth Talent, Wang Li, Research Fellow of Institute of Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hu Weidong, Professor of Beijing Institute of Technology, Hu Zhifu, Senior Engineer of No.13 Institute of CECT, and Dr.Zhangyi, manager of Daheng Science and Technology and guests and scholars attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was chaired by Fu Guangsheng, former president of Hebei University.
The conference brought together more than 100 well-known domestic experts and scholars in the terahertz field, and invited 10 famous experts and scholars to conduct academic and industrial reports, focusing on the status of domestic terahertz science and technology research and industrialization.
At the forum, Ding Qing, senior vice president of CCT Group, was invited to give a report on "CCT Terahertz Technology Innovation and Industrial Development." He first described the construction situation and R&D environment of the Shenzhen Institute of Terahertz Technology Innovation, and introduced the research results and research directions that the Institute has achieved at the current stage. Then he introduced CCT Terahertz industrialization work including millimeter waves body scanner, terahertz time domain spectrum analyzer, terahertz communication products, OCT online monitoring system and terahertz microfluidic chip. After the report was completed, academician Yang Guozhen of the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences personally inquired about the industrialization work of CCT and had a detailed communication.
At the closing ceremony, they set the conference as a relatively high-end provincial academic exchange platform to discuss the overall planning and future development direction of terahertz research in Hebei Province, and put forward priority research directions, cross-disciplinary research directions, and major scientific challenges in this field, to explore the integration of basic research and applied research in terahertz, and to contribute to the vigorous development and industrialization of terahertz technology in Xiong'an New District. At the end of the meeting, the Group of Experts and Advisory Committee for Basic Research and Applied Basic Research in the Terahertz Field of Hebei Province was established. Fu Guangsheng, former President of Hebei University, took the lead and Ding Qingren, Senior Vice President of CCT Group appointed as deputy leader.
